The objective
An industry committee needed professional and homeowner views of gas heat pumps for residential space heating and combined heating, cooling, and hot water.
The research design
A two-part qualitative study covered market conditions, purchase triggers, barriers, system perceptions, and sales expectations.
The outcome
Three professional groups emerged as important to adoption, each with a recommendation. The interviews also mapped the homeowner journey for HVAC systems and water heaters.
